LeBaron “LB” Thornton is A Hip Hop Artist, Actor, Assistant Director, Boom Operator, Filmmaker, & Humanist of Southern Descent.

After receiving a degree in Film & Communications from University of Alabama at Birmingham, he moved to New Orleans starting a career in music & film. 

Working on productions ranging from Claws, Queen & Slim, Roots, & Girls Trip to becoming an Assistant Director on the feature film Avalanche starring Carrie Preston, Chika’s - High Rises Music Video, and Celeste - Stop This Flame (nominated for Best British Soul Video in 2020 UK Music Video Awards).

While maintaining work, life he produced and acted in several shorts including, “Last Looks”, Directed by Cierra Glaude and Starring Rutina Wesley, featured on “Issa Rae Presents”, & “The Love Song of M. Anderson Vincent” winning runner up in Louisiana shorts in New Orleans Film Festival. 

A music career highlighted by an enduring relationship with Inner Recess Recording studios in New Orleans, as an engineer manager & artist, rocking a packed house with The Robert Glasper Experiment one night in NOLA, & Opening up for Georgia Anne Muldrow at the Ace Hotel and Performing at legendary venues including TIPITINAS and Preservation Hall. 

After boom operating Several movies, “The Quarry” “Body Cam”, and “LoveBirds” LeBaron is Currently working as a producer with The Mission Entertainment. He resides where he is needed with his beloved bass guitar, Charlotte.
